Adhika Masam will be observed every 3 years once. In this particular month, there will be no functions and no events are organized. In the Adhika Masam people will not perform any sacred functions like marriage, Gruha Pravesham, and others.

- Bagina dana requires that women distribute Baginas to at least 33 women as a form of charity.
- Apoopa Dana refers to the Apoopas that are made by preparing Rice, Jaggery, and Ghee. There will be a giveaway of at least 33 apoopas. It is stated that doing so would provide Vishesha Phala.
