Karthika Masam 2022 Start And End Date Panchangam Timings

Kartik Masam is the eighth month in the Hindu Telugu calendar that is utilized in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Kartika Masa will take place from October 26 to November 23, 2022. Throughout this month, people participate in a variety of ceremonies, vratas, and severity to honor both Shiva and Vishnu. One of Andhra Pradesh’s most significant ceremonies honoring snakes, Nagula Chavithi, takes place this month.

People observe unique rituals during Kartik Month and fast on Mondays. In the Hindu religion, Lord Shiva is typically honored on Mondays. However, many who worship Lord Shiva consider Mondays to be extremely significant during the months of Shravan and Kartik Masam.

One of the various names for Lord Shiva is Someshwara. The day we call Monday is also known by the name Someshwara. The crescent moon (Soma) on Shiva’s matted hair is where the term Someshwara, or Shiva, originates.

People hold the view that the moon performed Somavara Vratam in order to gain Lord Shiva’s blessings, escape Daksha’s curse, and obtain a space in his matted hair.

• Every month, one million people go to the Sri Rajarajeshwara Temple in Telangana’s Vemulawada.
• The Pancharamalu or Pancharama, visiting five Shiva temples, is completed during the month.
• An important prayer said each month is the Damodarastakam.
