According to the Georgian calendar, Kartika Masam will be observed in the month of November. According to the Hindu Sanathana Dharma, there is a belief that performing Tulasi Kalyana in the house gives health, wealth, and all types of properties to the people who perform Tulasi Kalyana with great interest.

- On the day of performing Tulasi Kalyana people have to get up early in the morning and have to take a head bath.
- After performing the daily puja rituals Tulasi Brindavanam should be cleaned with water, and should be applied turmeric around the Tulasi Brindavan.
- After the cleaning process clothes should be draped around the Tulasi Brindavan and then decorated with various flowers.
- Basically, Tulasi Kalyana Puja will be performed in the evening times.
- On the evening of the Utthana Dwadashi, Tulasi Brindavan is well-decorated and the idol of Lord Krishna is also decorated with various types of flowers.
- The idol of Lord Krishna is made seated before the Tulasi Brindavan and the marriage ritual is performed for Goddess Tulasi and Lord Krishna.
- All the neighbors and married women are invited to the Tulasi Kalyana puja and after the completion of the Puja, Thambulam is given to all the women who are invited to the puja.
- After completion of Puja, Prasadam is taken by all the family members, and bhajan programs are performed before the idols of Lord Krishna and Goddess Tulasi Devi.
