It is said that Raghavendra Swamy asked Manchalamma for the land that was necessary for the Brundavan Temple in Mantralaya, and as a result, worshippers are expected to first visit the temple dedicated to Manchalamma before making their way to the Sri Raghavendra Swamy Temple.
The Manchalamma Temple is home to a hall that was designed to resemble a miniature temple complete with a vimana. The vibrant vimana is decked up with a number of depictions of Parvathi in her goddess form. A three-foot-tall idol is placed on a raised platform within the sanctuary to serve as the primary god.
