Navaratri Festival:

Navaratri festival is one of the most famous Indian Hindu festivals and is celebrated to remember the victory of Good over evil. During the Navaratri festival, Goddess Durga is honored in a great manner. All the temples of Goddess Durga throughout the country are filled with people. People visit the temples of Goddess Durga on the day of the festival and in some parts of North India and South India, there is a ritual of visiting Shami Vruksham( a sacred tree). People distribute Shami leaves among themselves and give Shami leaves to the elders in their houses and seek their blessings.

Navaratri is a total of 10 days festival and Goddess Durga is offered different types of poojas on these days of Navaratri. During the days of the Navaratri festival, Goddess Durga is decorated in 10 different forms and called 10 different names. Vijayawada Kanaka Durga Devi Navaratri Prasadam List 2022

Dasara/ Vijaya Dashami festival is the 10th day of the Navaratri festival and the day is considered the main festival. On this day Goddess Durga Devi is decorated in the last alankara of the Navaratri festival- Raja Rajeshwari Devi alankaram. Some lakhs of people visit all the temples of Goddess Durga on the day of the Dasara festival to seek the blessings of the Goddess. People also celebrate the festival in a very grand manner in their houses. They decorate the idols of Goddess Durga in their houses and decorate with different flowers and offer prayers by reciting Durga Asthittaram.

On the day of Dasara Goddess is offered special food items as Prasadam like Pulihora, payasam, Daddojanam, and all types of fruits.
