- Queue waits run to several hours. Free Sarva Darshan is slowest on day eight and day nine. Choosing days two to five gives a far calmer darshan with the same vahana experience.
- You miss the forest gate. Stop overnight at Mannanur or Dornala and enter after 6 AM.
- No rooms anywhere. Many pilgrims base themselves at Kurnool or Dornala and travel in for the day.
