Rukmini Devi Temple is located 2 Km away from Dwaraka Temple, in Gujarath. Pilgrims can take a taxi or go by walk from Dwarakhadhish temple to Rukmini Devi temple. According to Indian History, the Rukmini Devi temple in Gujarat is built 2500 years ago. But due to reconstruction present temple is said to be constructed in the 12th century. Rukmini Devi temple architecture is rich with carvings of various gods and goddess idols. The main idol of Rukmini Devi is present in the inner sanctum. According to Mythology, there is a story about the distance between the temples of Lord Krishna and Rukmini Devi. The great Saint Durvasa Muni once cursed Rukmini Devi to be apart from Lord Krishna as the saint thought that he is not respected in the correct manner. So for that reason, the temples of Lord Krishna and Rukmini Devi are located at distance in Dwaraka.
