If you are planning to go to Tirupati, you must also go to Talakona Waterfalls. There are places to stay near the Talakona Falls in Sri Venkateswara National Park in Chittoor District, Andhra Pradesh, which is close to Tirupati. Tirupati Talakona Waterfalls Open Timings Entry and Current Status

  • Talakona Waterfalls will be open for visitors from 6 A.M. to 7:30 P.M. daily.
  • Between November and January is the best time to see the falls. It’s hard to figure out where the water comes from, and the underground stream suddenly pops up here. People think that this water can heal because it has been through different herbs that are good for your health.
  • The waterfalls are a beautiful green part of the area. There is a trekking path to the top of the hill, an old Shiva temple where people gather for the Maha Shivarathri festival, deep caves where sages go to meditate, and other places of interest close by.

Talakona Accommodation:

  • In Talakona Waterfalls, there are also places to stay in the thick forest. There are two different guesthouses: Forest Guest House and TTD Guest House. These guest houses let you book rooms at the Talakona waterfalls.
  • The Forest department of AP takes care of the Forest guest houses, which have six suite rooms that cost a reasonable Rs 600/- per day and two dormitories that cost Rs 1000/- per day. Most pilgrims stay at the TTD guest houses, which have 12 rooms that cost Rs 250/- per day.

How to Get from Tirupati to Talakona Falls:

There are many ways to get to the Talakona waterfall, which is 60 km from Tirupati.

  • By Air: The closest airport is Tirupati Renigunta, which is 75 km from the waterfalls.
  • Train: The Tirupati train station, which is 65 km from the waterfalls, is the closest one.
  • Bus: From Bhakarapeta, you can take one of several buses to get to the Talakona waterfall. Many people depend on these buses to get there.
  • Tirupati to Talakona There is a direct bus from Tirupati to Talakona central bus stand. It leaves at 7:30 AM and gets back to Tirupati at 4 PM.
