Tirumala temple is one of the famous temples in India. Tirumala temple is located on the seven hills and Lord Venkateshwara Swamy is the main idol of the Tirumala temple with his two consorts Goddess Sridevi and Bhudevi. Daily various sevas are performed to the Lord and lakhs of people visit Tirumala temple to seek the blessings of Lord Venkateshwara Swamy in Tirumala Temple.

Lots of sevas are performed every day but some sevas are slightly altered during festivals and other occasions. On the day of Grahanam temple is completely closed completely for some time and after the completion of Grahanam Tirumala temple will be opened and Samprokshana Poojas will be done. Tirumala Temple Grahanam Dates 2022 Darshan Closing Timings

Grahanam dates in the year 2022:

1. Surya Grahanam(Solar Eclipse): 25 October 2022
2. Chandra Grahanam(Lunar Eclipse): 08 November 2022

• On the day of the Eclipse(Grahanam), Tirumala temple will be closed for 12 hours. Tirumala temple will be closed a few hours before Grahanam and opens a few hours after Grahanam. After opening the temple special Samprokshana ritual will be done and after that special pooja will be performed to the main idol in the Inner Sanctum.
• On 25 October 2022, Surya Grahanam will start at 5.11 PM and ends at 6.27 PM. Tirumala temple will be closed from the night the before day and opens in the morning at 08.15 PM and the Samprokshana rituals will be carried on.
• On 08 November 2022, Chandra Grahanam will start the night at 2.39 PM and ends in the morning at 6.20 PM. Tirumala temple doors will be opened at 07.20 PM and all the Samprokshana Rituals will be carried out.

All the sevas and special darshans will be temporarily closed on the day of Grahanam.
