What are the timings of the Aihole Ravanaphadi Cave Temple?
Aihole Ravanaphadi Temple opens daily in the morning at 6.00 AM and closes at 6.00 PM in the evening.
An eroded fluted column and a sitting Nandi face the sanctuary of the temple, together with a number of other smaller monuments, may be seen at the entry. The inside of the cave is comprised of three almost square mandapas, the interior of which houses the Shiva linga and is linked to the mandapa at the entrance by a rectangular corridor.

What is the Architecture of Aihole Ravanaphadi Temple?
There is a Nidhi and a sitting guardian stationed on each side of the entrance to the Ravanaphadi cave. Then, on the left, there is an image of Ardhanarishvara that depicts the equality and fundamental interdependence of Shiva, who is on the left, and Parvati, who is on the right. After passing through this merged picture, you will arrive at the first mandapa.
To the left of this structure is a nook that has been cut out. The artwork dates back to the sixth century and depicts Shiva (Nataraja) dancing with Parvati, the Saptamatrikas, often known as the seven mothers of the Shaktism tradition, Ganesha, and Kartikeya. Harihara is located on the right side of the main mandapa and depicts a combined picture of Shaivism and Vaishnavism.
On the left side of the artwork is Shiva, while on the right side is Vishnu. Shiva, Parvati, and Bhringi, a skeletonized ascetic, are shown on the opposite wall of the Harihara complex. They are shown with the three principal river goddesses in the Hindu religion.

The primary mandapa is connected to two more mandapas that are nearby and square in shape. The sanctuary is located to the north of it, and it is guarded by Vaishnava Varaha, or Vishnu’s boar incarnation, who is saving the goddess Earth, on its left. Shaiva guards stand at the entrance to the temple.
A carved sculpture of Shakti Durga as Mahishasuramardine spearing the buffalo monster may be seen to the right of the entrance. An empty room like those seen in monasteries may be found to the east of the main mandapa. There are reliefs on the roof of the cavern. One depicts Vishnu with Lakshmi flying on a winged Garuda, while another depicts the Vedic deity Indra with Indrani on an elephant. Both of these depictions take place in the sky.
