Lingaraj Temple is a Hindu temple in Bhubaneswar, India, that is one of the oldest temples in the city. It is devoted to the gods Shiva and Vishnu (as Harihara), and it is considered to be one of the holiest sites in all of Odisha. A tower that is 180 feet (55 meters) high stands above the main sanctuary of the temple, which is considered to be a masterpiece of Kalinga construction.

King Jajati Keshari of the Somavamsi dynasty constructed the Lingaraj temple in the 11th century CE. However, it is possible that some of the temple’s components date back to the 7th century CE.
