The Dasara ritual
On this specific day, a pooja is done at the ‘Samadhi’ (Holy Tomb) of Bhatji Bhilde at the start of the morning, and 2100 Boondi Ladus are distributed to the devotees who are in attendance. The evening is when the ‘Simollanghan’ procession takes place, sometimes referred to as the symbolic crossing of the outskirts.
The palanquin draws to a halt in front of the Shamee Tree as it is traveling down the Pradakshina path. During the pooja, the leaves of the Shamee tree are used as a sacrifice to Lord Ganesha since it is believed that they are a depiction of gold. The festivities around the palanquin have now come to an end as a result of this.
