In the Rudra Himalaya range, in the state of Uttarakhand in India, you will find this ancient and exquisite temple. As a consequence of the severe weather that happens throughout the majority of the other months of the year, it is only possible to visit the temple between the end of April (Akshaya Tritriya) and Kartik Purnima (the full moon of autumn, which often takes place in November). This is because Akshaya Tritriya falls during this time period.
The structure of this ancient temple, which is older than a thousand years, is made up of enormous stone slabs that are put out in a rectangular pattern on a vast platform. Inscriptions inscribed in Pali may be seen on the enormous grey steps that lead up to the holy sanctums of the temple. These inscriptions are visible on the stairs of the structure.
Immediately before entering the temple, there is a large statue of the Nandi Bull that stands as a sentry and protects the entrance. The history of the well-known temple dates all the way back to the time of the Pandavas; nevertheless, it was Adi Shankaracharya who was responsible for reviving it.
