Ashwayuja Masam is the Seventh month in the Telugu months and according to the Georgian calendar, Ashwija Masam will be observed in the month of October- November. In the year 2023, Ashwayuja Masam will be observed from October 15, 2023, to November 13, 2023. Ashwayuja Masam will be observed after Bhadrapada Masam in the Telugu calendar. The month of Ashwina Masa comes seventh in the ancient Hindu Telugu calendar, which is used in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The Ashwayuja Masam 2023 falls on the Telugu calendar between the 15th of October and the 13th of November.

The spiritual month of Ashvayuja is when the celebration of Sharannavaratri takes place. Navaratri is an important holiday that occurs at a unique time of year. There are two Navratras, one in the spring and one in the fall. There’s Chaitra Navratri in Uttarayanam and Ashvayuzam’s Sharan Navaratri. When it comes to Goddess celebrations, these two days rank right up there. On that day, known as Vijayadashami, Ravana was slain in the Treta Yuga. According to our Puranas, the day the Kauravas worshipped the Shami tree in Dwapara Yuga and stole the weapons secreted there was Vijayadashami.

According to the Puranas, Satyabhama Krishna annihilated the Narakas on the single Chaturdashi known as Naraka Chaturdashi, which occurred during the Asvayuja month. Diwali is celebrated on the new moon of Asvayuja month to commemorate the defeat of Narakas.
