  • People in some areas will observe fasting on this day and offer special pujas to Lord Subramanya Swamy/Lord Muruga.
  • People wake up early in the morning and offer special pujas to Lord Subramanya Swamy in their houses.
  • After performing the pujas in their houses people often visit the temple of Lord Muruga and offer special abhishekams and special pujas to the Lord.
  • After that people observe fasting for the whole day and after that day people break their fast.
